Subject: unread documents in folder higher than number of documents
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Notes 8 Client
Technical Area: User Interface
Platform: Windows XP client
Release: 8.0.2
Reproducible: Always

Hi there!

We have a mail-in database that always shows more unread documents in the inbox (in the folder-list in brackets behind the folder-title) than actually are in the inbox.

E.g. it shows Inbox (235) although there are only 5 mails in it.

No matter from which computer/user I open this mail-in-database, it always shows this discrepancy.

I already wrote an agent that counted the documents in the folder and sent the result (e.g. 5) to me by mail. The agent was signed with the server-ID, so I think there really are only 5 Mails in it.

Compacting the database didn't help.

Any ideas?
